Preparations and Precaution

What will you need?
  • A fixed operation table, such as a large table, or a spacious area with a flat floor.
  • An ID card (any card)
  • Soft fabric (for cleaning the board surface)
  • A scissors and a knife
  • Soft cloth
Check the package promptly after receiving it.

When receiving the package sent by our company, please first check if the number of stickers is complete. Additionally: If you receive a large sticker (composed of small stickers), please first use scissors to cut along the pattern.

After taking out the stickers, spread them all out on the snowboard. You can arrange the stickers according to your design concept in advance and determine the final position of each sticker.

The stickers can only be stuck on smooth surfaces. If the surface is frosted or has rough textures, it will affect the adhesion of the stickers. Sonwboards with snowboard wrap can use this sticker.

Step 1

Remove old stickers and markings

Clean the surface of the board

If there are old stickers or marks on the surface – please remove them carefully.

  • Heat them with a hair dryer for 5 to 10 seconds (for making them easier to come off) .
  • Be careful to remove the old stickers. (for minimizing the residue adhesive on the stickers) .
  • You can use alcohol-based liquid to carefully wipe and clean (for removing residual adhesive) .

This is a very crucial step – dirt, dust, wax residues and grease will all reduce the viscosity of the sticker.

  • Spray clean water onto the board surface, wipe it dry with a cloth .
  • Be sure to remove any remaining dust or hair.
  • You can use the DUST REMOVAL STICKER we provide to stick these dust and hairs clean.

Step 2

Remove the transparent film

After determining the placement positions of each sticker in advance, operate in the order from the tip to the tail of the board.

Transfer sticker is composed of three parts: transfer film, vinly sticker, and transparent base film.

First, remove the transparent base film of the sticker: Place the sticker with the front side facing down, and slowly peel off the top transparent film. You don’t need to completely remove it. Remove a small part to expose the transfer film and sticker sections that have adhesive properties. You can use them for positioning first.

When tearing off the transparent base film, make sure that the sticker pattern is all adhered to the transfer film. Therefore, please do this step as gently and carefully as possible.

Step 3

Paste with positioning

Open the end of the transparent base film and stick it onto the surface where the snowboard is to be placed. Stick one end to ensure proper positioning.

While continuing to gently peel off the transparent base film (if you find that the sticker and the transparent base film have been peeled off together, put the transparent base film back in place, press it down a few times, and then slowly peel it off), slowly press the transfer film + sticker onto the surface of the board using a card, and use the card to evenly spread it in a diagonal direction to remove air.

This step requires patience to alternate pressing and smoothing. If some areas are not smoothly adhered, have wrinkles or bubbles, you can slightly lift the transfer film + sticker, then re-stick and press it flat. Continue until the transparent base film is completely removed and the transfer film + sticker is fully adhered.

Step 4

Stick all the stickers on

After the stickers are completely stuck, wait for 5 minutes. During this period, please check that the position of the stickers does not exceed the edge of the skis.

It is best to be within 1cm – 2cm inside the edge to ensure that actions such as carving during skiing will not be distorted due to the friction of the stickers. You can use a small knife to cut the stickers diagonally along the edge. When cutting, please be as careful and slow as possible to avoid damaging the stickers.

Tip: The ski board is equipped with binding mounting holes – if the stickers cover the holes, use a small knife to remove them.

First, feel the position of the holes with your fingers. By pressing, you can feel it. Insert the small knife into the center of the hole and slowly rotate it to cut along the edge of the hole.

Step 5

Remove the transfer film

Carefully lift the transparent transfer film from the edges of the surface, and slowly remove the transfer film. Make sure that the sticker pattern does not come off along with it when removing.

If this happens accidentally, reattach the transfer film and the sticker to the ski board, press them with a card, and then slowly lift the transfer film. Finally, ensure that the vinly sticker remains completely on the snowboard!

Step 6

Final inspection

●Are all the stickers firmly attached and flattened and compacted, without any cracks or missing parts?

—– If the final result is due to improper attachment causing cracks and missing parts (specifically: the transfer film has been removed, the sticker has been adhered to the ski board, and a part has broken or is missing), Please contact our customer service and choose one of the following two methods to resolve the issue.

1. Full refund. You are responsible for returning the package. Once we receive the package, we will issue you a full refund.

2. This operation should be completed within 15 days after receiving the package. Take pictures of the broken and missing areas and send them to us. We can arrange for the re-delivery of the corresponding stickers. You have and only have this one chance. You don’t need to pay the shipping fee again. Please note that if taxes are required due to your country, you will be responsible for them yourself.

●Are there still stickers at the edges?

—– The redundant parts need to be removed without affecting the skiing experience.

●Are the bindings mounting holes on the snowboard left open?

—– Here, snowboard boots need to be installed, so holes must be left. Do not install the boots within 24 hours after the stickers are attached to avoid friction that may affect the stickiness of the stickers. Generally, it is recommended not to attach the stickers at the hole positions to avoid friction with the stickers when installing the boots.

●Will air bubbles form after application?

—– Some stickers, due to their large patterns, will gradually accumulate small bubbles that have not been flattened after a few days. Here, please prepare a sewing needle to puncture the bubbles, and then slowly smooth them out using a card.

●Is there a curing time left?

—– Do not take the ski board to the ski resort within 24 hours after installing the stickers. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or immerse it in water. If there is a rapid temperature change, it may cause the stickers not to cure sufficiently, resulting in more bubbles or the edges to lift up.
